Director Projects, Perth
Co-founding Director Philip Gresley guides and shapes the client experience at Gresley Abas, having worked with public and private clients for more than two decades – across a range of project types from housing typologies to multi-residential to community facilities to large-scale urban design.
From initial meetings to project handover and beyond, Phil provides the crucial link between our clients and the studio, to ensure that our innate curiosity, desire to innovate and commitment to design excellence come together in the form of outstanding service, on every Gresley Abas project.
With his deep knowledge of state and local government procurement methods, protocols and procedures – and valuable strategic thinking skills – Phil leads our design teams to ‘explode the brief’; always with the intention of arriving at the best design outcomes for the building’s users and the broader community.
As a talented communicator and natural leader, Phil is a passionate advocate for the value of architecture: he sits on various state and local council Design Review Panels and spearheads GA’s consulting services to government. Outside work, he sits on several boards including the pvi collective, and the EG Cohen Medal board. which awards annual prizes to architecture graduates who exemplify selflessness in their work.
